Value Overview

Hi-G-Tek's product and service offerings are designed to improve asset utilization and reduce the costs of excess inventory and shrinkage in the supply chain for the petroleum industry.

We have installed solutions for the world's biggest mobile communications provider with their business unit in Mexico, where we are securing all fuel transport for the state owned and controlled petrol distribution company.

We've also done the same thing for the largest fuel distrubution company in Israel, and we are in the final stages of negotiation on deals for supply chain wide, fuel distribution applications in Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, South and Central America. Our technology is designed to drive a series of operational efficiencies and financial impacts through the downstream portion of the chain of custody; predominantly from refinery all the way through to the retail station.

We accomplish this in two ways:

By using "I-Safe" (Intrinsically Safe) certified wireless and sensing technology to control access to fuel stores on trucks, rail wagons and underground tanks at retail stations. Furthermore, we provide an electronic audit trail of flow from location to location and asset to asset throughout the chain of custody. This audit trail eliminates much of the need for legacy written manifests and provides real time actionable business information for operational decision makers throughout the chain.

Armed now with this increased visibility and control over fuel flow, a client company is able to recognize a series of financial benefits, some of which include:

• Reduction in the cost of excess fuel inventory resulting from real time visibility of and reconciliation of fuel transfer throughout the chain of custody.

• Reduction of “run outs” at the retail level

• Improvement in asset utilization through real time visibility to wagon and trucking assets and their use in and out of service.

• This improvement translates to increased volume with existing asset base.

• A significant reduction in unaccounted fuel shrinkage through a significantly improved control over quantity transfers the distribution chain.

The net result of our technology is the reduction of costs by making operations data "actionable".

This will be accomplished through accurate reporting and alerts to trouble areas and immediate integration with a company’s Downstream control and logistics operations.
