John Levy
L Capital Partners

John Levy, Partner, focuses on technology companies for L Capital Partners. He has worked in finance and technology for 25 years and, since 2000, has served as a partner in the Shalom Equity Fund, Ltd. He has advised portfolio companies such as Sceptor Industries, VisionSense, Ltd. and Adjungo Networks. Prior to joining Shalom, Mr. Levy served as founding CEO of ePlanet, a computer vision company, sponsored by Interval Research and Intel Corp. From 1985-1994, Mr. Levy was President of Electric Shadows Partners, an investment advisory and consulting firm. From 1979-1984, Mr. Levy served as a General Partner of Ariel Securities Corp., an NASD licensed broker dealer specializing in venture capital and media-based direct participation investments Mr. Levy sits on the Boards of the Cathay Investment Fund (an $86 million closed-end fund with investments in China), Sceptor Industries, and Wispry (an RF semiconductor company). He is the Chairman of the Jewish Fund for Justice, a national non-profit organization that makes seed investments in low income communities. Mr. Levy received his A.B. magna cum laude from Amherst College (1976) and M.B.A. from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration (1979).
